How do I order a cake?

Please click on the order now button and fill out the enquiry form, alternatively you can contact me here. Feel free to also send me an email or DM on Instagram or Facebook.

How far in advance should I book my cake with you?

Ideally 14 days in advance, especially bespoke orders as I like to have enough time to make your cake special! If I am not too busy I may be able to accept an order with less notice but this cannot be guaranteed. If in doubt it is always worth calling/emailing me and I will do my best to accommodate your requirements.

How do you take payment?

I only accept payment via Bank Transfer. 50% payment is due when ordering your cake to secure the booking. The remaining balance must be transferred 48 hours before delivery/collection. I will give my bank details on receipt of your order.

Does the cake come in a box?

Yes, all my cakes come on a thick board in a white box and a bow to make your cake look special. If the cake is too tall for the lid of the box to fit, I will cover it with cellophane for added protection.

How is the Cake Transported?

I am based in Shoreham (see map below) and offer a free delivery service to Shoreham, Southwick & Lancing area. I may be able to deliver outside my area at an extra cost. Contact me to discuss.

Can I collect the cake?

Yes, you can collect the cake from me (my exact address will be given when confirmed.

Cakes are delicate and extra care should be taken when moving them. If you are picking up the cake from me or transferring by car to another venue I would strongly recommend that you have a means of securing it on a flat surface in your vehicle. I have found that placing the cake package in a larger second box in the boot or passenger footwell is the best way of doing this. Never transport on the seat of the car as the slope can make the cake slide off the board.

If your vehicle has air conditioning it is a good idea to have this on to keep your cake cool.

How do I take care of my cake once it leaves your kitchen?

Keep your cake refrigerated (not frozen) and bring to room temperature an hour before serving. If it does not fit in the fridge, keep in a cool place away from cookers, flames and direct sunlight.

FAQ about Allergies/Specialist Cakes

I do offer ‘free from’ cakes, such as Vegan & Gluten Free. The kitchen I bake in is not a environment free from allergens, however I do my best to ensure it is a minimal risk and no other cakes are baked at the same time.

In standard non-specialist cakes one or more of the following allergens may be present in your cakes

Dairy products

Eggs

Wheat

Soybean

Nuts

Fish
